Wagamama to open in Doncaster

A Pan-Asian restaurant chain owned and operated by The Restaurant Group is preparing to launch a new restaurant in Doncaster on 22 April.

Wagamama's latest outpost will be housed in Dome Leisure Centre, serving up brand classics such as katsu and ramen on its 50% plant-based menu. It will also offer some of the chain's newer options, including hotpot, tteokbokki and K-dogs – the Korean street food favourite.

The venue will offer 162 covers, creating 55 new jobs in the area and bringing the brand's estate to 163 restaurants nationwide.

Ahead opening, the venue will be running two days of exclusive preview events. It has also committed to supporting local food charity, The Bread and Butter Thing, which brings low-cost food to low-income communities. The charity operates in 110 UK locations, including Doncaster.

Milly Pearson, regional marketing manager for the North, comments: "We are so excited to open the doors to our brand-new restaurant in Doncaster. Out benches will soon be welcoming the local community and visitors at The Dome, and we can't wait to serve up some of our newest dishes and fresh favourites. Our fantastic new team have been working hard to ensure we'll bring our much-loved Wagamama experience to our guests and they're so excited to land in their beautiful new restaurant once work is complete."
