The Goring to reopen The Dining Room this month

The Michelin-starred restaurant located at The Goring is set to reopen on 20 May, complete with opulent new interiors, a state-of-the-art kitchen, refreshed seasonal menus and a revived dining experience.

Situated in Belgravia, The Goring is the last family-owned luxury hotel in the capital. The reinvigorated restaurant, The Dining Room, will provide an experience that matches the rich history of the grand hotel.

Interior design

The renewed interior features bold red furnishings set against a bespoke floral wallpaper with whimsical hand-painted features. By day, the restaurant will be flooded with natural light while, by night, plush fabrics, corner sofas and twinkling chandeliers bring a sense of decadence and glamour.

The kitchen

For the first time in its century-long history, a completely new kitchen has been fitted at The Dining Room, providing executive chef Graham Squire and the team with space to produce the restaurant's seasonal British dishes. Highlights from the opening menu include roasted Orkney scallop with pea, lemon verbena and brown butter; Cornish monkfish with mussels, seaweed, gooseberry and herbs; and Rhug Estate lamb hot pot pie, lamb fat carrot, pickles and BBQ gem relish. The Goring's signature Eggs Drumkilbo and lobster omelette will also be reimagined for the relaunch.

A theatrical atmosphere will permeate The Dining Room, complete with a lively music soundtrack. Trolleys will glide through the space providing Champagne cocktails, sharing dishes of beef wellington and stuffed turbot, and a show-stopping rum baba flambé. A skilled team of sommeliers will also be on hand to guide diners through the extensive wine list.
