Pho turns London site gluten-free

To mark National Coeliac Awareness Week (15–21 May), Vietnamese restaurant group Pho is turning the entire menu at its London Bridge site gluten-free in a bid to promote inclusivity for consumers when dining out-of-home.

Coeliac disease is a condition that affects at least one in every 100 people across the UK, and it is reported that there are still 500,000 people across the country estimated to be living with the undiagnosed condition.

Following a study conducted by Pho in April, it is thought that two in five Brits experience food intolerance symptoms, and over half (55%) of Brits who believe they have an intolerance agreed that there aren't enough accessible or varied options when it comes to eating out. Pho is striving to break these taboos by raising awareness of its gluten-free offering.

Coeliac takeover

Between 13 to 19 May, Pho's London Bridge restaurant will see a coeliac takeover, where 'gluten-free hotties' will be able to dine out without having to take time scanning the menu for what they are or are not able to eat.

Pho's menu is already 98% gluten-free all year round, with the brand being accredited by the official Coeliac UK society for over nine years, with the group now operating 40 restaurants across the UK.
