Aaron Potter to open first solo restaurant

Chef Aaron Potter will open his first solo restaurant in Belgravia on Friday, 27 September.

Inspired by the warm, relaxed dining culture of the Mediterranean, Wildflowers will focus on seasonality, serving elegant yet uncomplicated dishes and European wines in a laid-back setting.

Situated in Newson's Yard, behind Pimlico Road, the 54-cover restaurant will be a bright space adorned with unique vintage furniture, designed by Laura Hart, who has a background in high-end interiors.

The menu, created by Aaron (previously Trinity and Elystan Street) ensures generous, convivial dining and quality hospitality are at the forefront, highlighting vibrant flavours and hyper-seasonal ingredients.

Dining at Wildflowers

Highlights include moules farcies, garlic and parsley butter; lamb tartare with Wildflower harissa and labneh; langoustine and scallop crudo with chilli, fennel and olive oil; fresh sheep's ricotta with grilled courgettes, burnt honey and fig leaf olive oil; grilled red mullet with Puttanesca butter and Amalfi lemon; borlotti beans al forno with bull's horn peppers, artichokes and salsa verde; Basque cider house steak for two with smoked bone marrow piperade; fig leaf and cherry ripple choux a la creme; and chocolate praline gateaux with hazelnut milk gelato.

Seasonality will be at the heart of Wildflowers, from the regularly changing restaurant menu to the flowers filling the space and the produce from the in-house deli. Daily pastries and sandwiches (available to eat on the terrace or takeaway) will sit alongside a concise selection of provisions at the deli, including olive oil, house-baked focaccia and charcuterie.

Upstairs will be an intimate wine bar, reminiscent of the cicchetti and pintxos bars of Italy and Spain, with cocktails such as melon negroni, Amalfi spritz and Peschiole dirty martini on offer, alongside a selection of vermouth, amaros and European wines – including Wildflowers' own on tap.
