Berto Pasta returns to Holloway Road

Artisanal pasta restaurant Berto Pasta, sister of pizza concept Zia Lucia, has returned to its original north London site on Holloway Road.

The venue has launched a new menu showcasing the brand's signature hand-crafted fresh pasta. Guests can choose from the Leggendiare offering, which features dishes which are finished at the table, adding a touch of drama to the dining experience.

Options include the Smoking Truffle Carbonara with handmade maccheroni, egg yolk, goat's cheese and truffle that is cherry-smoked tableside; the Tonnaerlli Cacio e Pepe, which is prepared live inside a pecorino wheel; while the Fettucine Alfredo 'Al Tartufo' is tossed with butter, truffle cream parmesan and truffle oil, also prepared tableside. 

Another star menu item is the Flaming Maccheroni Alla Vodka, with vodka-flambeed tomato sauce, Italian pork sausage, Calabrian spicy 'nduja and pecorino Romano DOP. On top of pasta, guests can choose from a burrata bar, fritti courgette, potato dishes and a selection of antipasti.

The 45-cover restaurant's original restaurant has been re-opened, separated from Zia Lucia by a curtain to offer a fun and secretive air of a speakeasy for pasta lovers.
