Bangkok-inspired restaurant opens in Soho
A restaurant inspired by the food of Bangkok has opened in Soho, taking over the ground floor of Hovarda on Rupert Street.
Long Chim, which means to ‘come and try’, offers accessible menus with authentic dishes inspired by the city's markets and food stalls.
David Thompson is the chef at the helm of Long Chim. His recipes have been honed through decades spent exploring the complex network of alleys and lanes that weave throughout Thailand's capital city.
Open for dinner, guests of the restaurant will be able to enjoy dishes such as beef skewers with tamarind and pepper, spicy grilled squid with pickled ginger, cockle salad with smoky chilli paste and Thai basil, aromatic monkfish curry with cucumber relish and tiger prawns baked in vermicelli.
Dishes at Long Chim are served in a sharing style against the backdrop of hidden Thai elements embedded into murals, bottle cabinets, neon signs and projection art.
