Carlo Scotto returns with BEAR

Carlo Scotto has announced his return to the UK's culinary scene, taking the reins as chef-patron of his new restaurant, BEAR by Carlo Scotto, at the Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield.

The Chef’s Table experience is set to open in spring. Previously known for London Mayfair’s Amethyst, Scotto's latest concept will showcase creativity and responsible sourcing.

Farm-to-plate

At the heart of Scotto's new venture is a tasting menu that embraces a farm-to-plate philosophy, experienced through an open kitchen with a counter dining layout.

Before joining the Crazy Bear Group, Scotto announced a hiatus from the hospitality industry saying, “I am going to take a short break whilst I consider my options to ensure my next role allows me to continue to showcase my passion for fine dining and commitment to delivering some of the best food in the UK.”

The chef's new menu celebrates his global journey, incorporating flavours and techniques honed over two decades in the renowned kitchens of London, Paris, Tokyo and New York. His menu will merge Nordic, Asian and Arabic flavours with masterful techniques and surprises in every course.

BEAR By Carlo Scotto will open in spring, once the renovations at Crazy Bear’s UK properties in Beaconsfield and Stadhampton are complete.
