Scottish operator shares profit with team

On 26 January, an independent hospitality group in Scotland announced plans to share £124,891 of profit with staff members at an all-expenses-paid team celebration.
Manorview's annual 'Heartcount' scheme sees the group – which owns and operates 12 venues in Scotland – share 10% of net profits with teams. Everyone who has been with the business for 12 months or more qualifies, with 476 members of staff (approximately 85%) set to receive a portion in early February.
To ensure the scheme is fair, individual amounts are calculated based on hours worked rather than job title or pay. The Heartcount profit share is the only monetary-based bonus offered at Manorview, having moved away from performance- or target-related bonuses for managers and sales managers several years ago.
Dani Fraser, head of people at Manorview, says: "We are very proud of our Heartcount profit share scheme. Everyone, regardless of role, makes a positive contribution to Manorview and it's only right that they receive something in return."
