Stein Group's Supper Club to take place this month

With Rick Stein Restaurants marking 50 years in 2025, the group will celebrate with an exclusive Supper Club event to be held at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow this month, and chef-founder Rick Stein himself is set to DJ on the night (28 February). 

Guests can secure a ticket via a ballot, which is open now until 10 February. 

Rick purchased the property, which was originally a nightclub, with his wife Jill in 1974. He started out DJing behind the decks, before turning his talents to the stove and building the restaurant group he's known for today. 

In homage to its roots, The Seafood Restaurant—which won an AA Food Service Award for outstanding hospitality in 2024—is returning to where it all began. Guests will receive a welcome glass of Champagne, followed by canapés and a five-course feast, including signature dishes such as hand-dived scallops, lobster risotto and hot chocolate fondant, plus a celebratory cocktail. Each course can be paired with a wine recommendation from Charlie Stein, which can be purchased on the night.

"It's amazing that The Seafood Restaurant has been open for 50 years – we're excited for lots of celebrations throughout 2025," says Rick. "Including me, returning to my roots as a DJ, back on the decks for one night only!"
