One week to go until the National Burger Awards 2025

Excitement is mounting for the National Burger Awards 2025, with just one week until the 11th instalment of the annual event takes place. 

On 11 February, this highly anticipated competition will bring some of the UK’s best burger chefs together at London's Big Penny Social for an action-packed day of burger business, followed by an evening awards ceremony.

Sixteen chefs from across the hospitality industry will battle it out in a high-stakes cook-off, showcasing their skills across three rounds. First, they will present their signature burger – the very creation that earned them a place in the competition. Next, they will take on the technical challenge, crafting the ultimate burger using ingredients supplied by event sponsors. Finally, the plant-based round, sponsored by Redefine Meat, will put their creativity to the test with meat-free innovation.

A panel of expert industry judges, including last year’s champion Bleecker Burger and the Champion of Champions winner Whole Beast, will help decide who takes home the National Burger of the Year crown.  

Running alongside the burger competition, the Freakshake Challenge will return, with leading operators going head-to-head to create the most extravagant, indulgent shake.

The awards ceremony begins at 18:30, with winners announced after 19:30.
