Contemporary French restaurant to launch at Wapping Wharf

The team behind the multi-award-winning fire cooking restaurant BANK Bristol has announced plans for its second project: a modern French restaurant to open at Bristol's Wapping Wharf on Wednesday, 2 April.
BANK Bristol owner and founder Dan O’Regan, along with executive chef and co-owner Jack Briggs-Horan, will lead Lapin. The pair will bring their modern take on French cuisine and bistro culture to Bristol’s harbourside.
While adopting BANK’s approach to local sourcing, Lapin will centre around a more classical dining style. Playing to Briggs-Horan’s background of cooking in traditional French restaurants, Lapin’s seasonal menu will be built around starters, mains and desserts, with warm hospitality anchoring the dining experience.
Wine will play a big role at the restaurant, with a wide-ranging list of French vintages. Everything will be available by the glass, with the team pouring freely throughout the week.
"Having enjoyed such success and support for our wood-fired sharing plates ethos at BANK, we’re unbelievably excited to be opening a restaurant that’s inspired by the inimitable style of French cooking," says O'Regan.
"Warm hospitality and a relaxed convivial spirit, backed up by playful twists on French classics, are going to be our foundation, and we really can’t wait to welcome both new and existing guests through our doors. Wapping Wharf is without a doubt a bastion of incredible restaurants in Bristol. From having our neighbourhood restaurant in Totterdown, it felt right to branch out to such a vibrant and community-minded part of the Bristol dining scene.”
