Ocasa brings a taste of Mexico to Manchester

A new Mexican-inspired restaurant and bar is set to land in the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester, on Good Friday (18 April).

Located on The Avenue, Ocasa will take inspiration from the shores of Tulum and the bustling street food scene of Mexico City.

Flame-grilled small places and sharers

At the helm of Ocasa’s kitchen is executive chef Lucie Sainerova, formerly of the prestigious Novikov International. She has created a menu that reimagines Mexican street food, keeping its authentic roots while adding a contemporary twist.

Diners can expect robata-grilled yakitori-style taco skewers (yaki tacos), vibrant bowls and shareable plates designed for feasting with friends.

"We're taking familiar flavours and elevating them in ways that surprise and excite," says Sainerova. "From our dragon salt wagyu tacos to the lobster thermidor nachos, every dish tells a story. This is a Mexican food like you've never seen before."
