Chez Mal restaurant returns to Malmaison Leeds

Award-winning Malmaison Hotel, Leeds, has upgraded its restaurant with a fresh look and a bold new menu to match.

The brasserie and bar is heading back to its roots with the return of its Chez Mal brand. The venue takes its name and spirit from Château Malmaison, where Napoleon and Josephine threw some of the most legendary feasts in history. Chez Mal is here to carry on that legacy in Leeds, serving up exceptional food, cocktails and hospitality.

Dining at Chez Mal

With space for 60 diners, Chez Mal blends the contemporary British brasserie vibe with a subtle French twist. Spearheaded by chef director John Woodward, the new food offering brings a flair to modern dining and breathes new life into brasserie classics, whether it’s afternoon tea, a romantic dinner for two or a Sunday roast with all the trimmings.

Bottomless Brunch is available every Saturday with free-flowing Prosecco, Aperol Spritz, Mimosas and Cruzcampo, paired with a main course priced at £39.50. And, behind the bar, Chez Mal’s expert mixologists are shaking up a new collection of cocktails.

Malmaison Leeds general manager, Sara Hargraves, comments: "Chez Mal isn’t just back – it’s better, bolder and ready to lead the culinary scene in Leeds once again. Our guests can expect the same fantastic service and comfort that Malmaison Leeds and Chez Mal have always been known for, set against the backdrop of our beautifully refreshed bar and restaurant. It’s a nod to Chez Mal’s heritage but reimagined for the future."
