Businesses to close in Welsh lockdown
Oct 19, 2020
Restaurants in Wales will be ordered to close from Friday 23 October, in a two-week national circuit-breaker lockdown announced by the government today (19 October).
People will be told to stay at home, while hospitality businesses and other non-essential shops will close in an attempt to stem the tide of rising Covid-19 infections in the country.
Welsh first minister Mark Drakeford confirmed the ‘fixed period’ lockdown is planned until Monday 9 November.
People from different households will not be able to minx indoors or outdoors.
