Oblix launches finish-at-home meals
Oblix at The Shard at announced that consumers nationwide can now order a selection of dishes to be delivered and finished at home, for the first time, so that they may experience the restaurant's menu ahead of indoor hospitality reopening in May.
Executive chef Marcus Eaves' three-course menu will rotate seasonally, with dishes including burrata with datterini tomatoes, olives, basil and balsamic vinegar; the Oblix Wagyu burger with aged-cheddar and truffle mayonnaise; glazed and slow-cooked short ribs, with salsa verde; veal osso bucco with saffron risotto and gremolata; a whole roast chicken to share, which comes with truffle mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and chicken and rosemary sauce; and the Wagyu beef wellington with red wine sauce, serving two people and delivered with a temperature probe.
A range of stand-alone sides - to include four cheese macaroni and cheese, truffle and parmesan fries and truffle mashed potatoes - can also be purchased.
For pudding, Eaves has created a chocolate, caramel and almond fondant with a Madagascan vanilla custard.
Customers can order the dishes to be delivered to their homes from Oblix’s website.
This range of cook-at-home meals joins Oblix’s afternoon tea delivery experience, which can be delivered within London and includes a range of sandwiches alongside handmade sweet treats and pastries, a variety of freshly baked scones and spreads as well as a selection of teas sourced from The Rare Tea Company.
Oblix at The Shard’s at-home dishes can be purchased via slerp and will be delivered nationwide on Fridays and Saturdays. Afternoon tea will continue to be delivered in London from Friday-Sunday.
