SpiceBox opens in Leytonstone
Vegan curry house SpiceBox has opened a new venue in the London suburb of Leytonstone.
Having launched the original restaurant in Walthamstow in January 2019, SpiceBox has gained a huge following for its menu of all vegan reimagined curry house classics and is now set to build on its success just down the road in Leytonstone. The new space will offer an expanded dinner menu, a revamped weekend brunch, coffee from Dark Arts Roastery, Borough wines on tap, and cocktails from The Cocktail Society.
New dinner creations at the Leytonstone venue include Bhaigan Bharta – a whole fire-roasted aubergine in a spiced tomato sauce, Mushroom Madras – roasted portobello mushrooms in a creamy, spicy tomato sauce, Samosa Chaat – smashed samosa, fresh kachumber, crispy sev, date and tamarind chutney, and Mango and Coconut Chia Pudding – mango puree gently spiced with black pepper and chilli on top of a creamy coconut chia pudding.
SpiceBox founder Grace Regan grew up cooking and eating Indian food. When she was finally old enough to visit India herself, she fell in love with the country, the people and the food. After a brief spell as a tech entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, Grace realised the ‘tech dream’ wasn’t for her and decided focus on her true passion – Indian cuisine.
SpiceBox is open now for dine-in bookings, as well as for delivery and takeaway.
