Innovative plant-based restaurant comes to Knightsbridge

A new, innovative plant-based concept has launched in the Urban Retreat in Knightsbridge. 

Holy Carrot aims to give Londoners a new way of experiencing and enjoying vegan food with a focus on using wethically-sourced seasonal produce. All dishes are free frokm preservatives, refined sugar, gluten and additives. 

Menu options include the Maki Set, a selection of crispy maki ponzu with spiced mayo; Sexy Tofu, organic glazed tofu with an aubergine, red pepper and peanut sauce; and Raw Red Pepper Burrito. A range of sweet treats are also offered, such as the Homemade Candy Set and the Holy Carrot Cake. 

Guests can also order from a selection of fresh juices, smoothies and cocktails – such as the Dream Green, made with spinach, kale, cucumber, avacado, vegan protein and flaxseed; as well as the Rose Negroni, created using VII Hills Gin, rhubarb liqueur, Little rose and Rose Vermouth. 

Irina Linovich, founder of the restaurant, comments: "When we came up with the idea to launch a vegan restaurant in Kightsbridge, we wanted to make sure that we brought an element of fun to eating vegan food. 'Carrot' sybolises the fun and intriguing element of the brand, and 'Holy' represents the healthy nature of our dishes. The menu is very much led by the very best seasonal organic British produce and we take great care to ensure that the produce is ethically-sourced and sustainable."
