Black Bear Burger announces third market site

Black Bear Burger will launch a third venue at Market Halls Cargo Canary Wharf on 31 March.

The site will offer a concise menu of signature burgers and hand-cut fries. Stew Down, the brand's co-founder, is committed to using the best grass-fed, dry-aged British beef, using a blend of cuts designed to create patties that are tender and full of flavour.

The Canary Wharf branch will offer popular menu items such as the Black Bear Burger with dry-aged beef, cheese, bacon, onion jam and garlic mayo; the Black & Blue with dry-aged beef, cheese, bacon, blue cheese sauce and onions; the Brisket with dry-aged beef, cheese, 12hr beer-braised brisket, pink pickled onions and garlic mayo; fries, skin-on and twice fried; and loaded fries with steak rub, cheese sauce and bacon crumb.

The burger brand joins the ranks of Gopal's Corner, DF Tacos, Baoziin, Inamo Sukoshi, Le Bab and Pasta Evangelists, as part of the food line-up for Market Halls' new 20,000sq ft venue.

On the opening, Down says: "We’re super excited to be returning to Canary Wharf – it feels a bit full circle for me as before we started Black Bear I used to work right here in the Wharf! The Cargo site is just what Canary Wharf needs and we can’t wait to start slinging some burgers!"

The opening brings Black Bear Burger's estate to a total of three sites, with the others loacted in Boxpark, Shoreditch, and the sit-down restaurant in Brixton Village.
