Burger & Beyond launching two new restaurants
London-based brand Burger & Beyond will open two new restaurants this summer.
On top of its existing sites in Shoreditch, Camden, Acton, Vauxhall and Hackney Wick, the group will now expand to Soho and Borough Yards.
The 119-cover Soho site – the group's biggest yet – will open on Old Compton Street, swiftly followed by the 89-cover Borough Yards development, which will also feature an outdoor terrace. Both locations will offer their signature burgers and sides, as well as brand-new dishes exclusive to each new venue.
Burger & Beyond work with Swaledale, who select native breed cattle reared on local farms up in the Yorkshire Dales. The native breeds take longer to mature than commercial cattle and are reared in a free-range environment, resulting in richly flavoured, marbled meat ideal for making burgers. The beef is then hung for between 28 and 45 days in drying fridges with Himalayan salt walls to concentrate the flavour, before being made into Burger & Beyond’s signature dry aged beef patty.
Guests of the new Soho branch will be able to tuck into the exclusive XL Pork Belly Burger – featuring a signature dry-aged beef patty, double American cheese, thick cut crispy rolled pork belly, pickle back slaw and sweet honey mustard sauce. The Cheeseburger Wontons & Mac Sauce – comprising a crispy cheeseburger-stuffed wonton accompanied by a classic burger sauce – will also be introduced as a side.
Borough Yards will offer The Legit Truffle – a signature dry-aged beef patty with double American cheese, (seasonal) fresh black summer truffle, black truffle butter and Port-braised onions; plus a new side of beef and cheese crispy pancake – birria-braisd beef and Ogleshield cheese inside a crispy filled pancake with lime, jalapeño crema and chipotle salsa.
As with the flagship Shoreditch restaurant, an extensive drinks list of beers, cocktails and wines will be on offer at both new restaurants. Cocktails include the B&B Punch – Havana 3&7, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Lime, Peychuard, Angostura Bitters – and the La Chingona – Tequila, Jalapeños, Lime, Mango Syrup, Apple, Agave. House-made soft drinks include lemonade and rhubarb lemonade, as well as several iced teas – the Punchy Peach; Spiced Berry; and Sunset Dream.
