Milk Beach coming to Soho this summer

All-day Australian restaurant Milk Beach will expand to central London this summer, opening a brand-new venue in Soho.

Building on its existing Queen's Park site, the brand's new restaurant will reside in Ilona Rose House, complete with high ceilings, plenty of natural light and a large outdoor courtyard.

Milk Beach Soho will have the same Australian coastal aesthetic and friendly service as the original venue, but with the addition of new dinner and brunch menus, fresh signature cocktails and an extensive wine list. Milk Beach will also launch a new nomadic coffee roastery, Album Coffee Roasters, which will supply its own speciality coffee in both locations.

Developed by Aussie head of food Darren Leadbeater, the new menus will draw inspiration from the diverse southeast Asian and Mediterranean cultures that make up contemporary Australian cuisine. Fresh, coastal flavours will be joined by BBQ-inspired dishes cooked over a large Robata grill. A couple of Queen's Park favourites will also feature at Soho, including Chinese 5 spice BBQ pork rib dumplings, chilli pho ga consommé and koji marinated chicken 'schnitty' with fermented chilli mayonnaise and chicken salt chips.

New dishes include native oyster with roasted chicken butter; crab ravioli with spiced courgette and fermented chilli oil; and Milk Beach 'Lamington' with chocolate sorbet, coconut and crumble.

Brand founder Elliot Milne says of the opening: "Australian hospitality is about creating a relaxed and fun environment with friendly, down to earth service; that's what we strive to deliver at Milk Beach and that's what we want to bring to Soho. I couldn't be more excited about site we've found – it's a stunning, unique space that fits the Milk Beach vibe perfectly with plenty of light and outdoor space."
