Giggling Squid partners with Action for Children
Giggling Squid, the Thai restaurant group co-founded by Pranee and Andy Laurillard, has announced its new charity initiative, Giggling & Give, giving back to those in need of support in its local communities.
The brand has announced Action for Children as its charity partner this year. With over 500 services across the country from children's centres to parenting support, the campaign will help to directly support vulnerable children in areas surrounding each restaurant.
The charity itself has been around for over 150 years. Last year, Action for Children helped more than 600,000 young people and families across the UK.
To kick off the partnership, the Giggling Squid team is pledging to cover the miles from the UK to Bangkok and back – 11,932 – before the end of the year through sponsored runs, walks, cycles or swims.
Andy Laurillard comments: "Action for Children’s ambition is that every child and young person in the country has a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive – a worthy cause that speaks to us as family business. We can’t wait to get fundraising!”
