Steve Hill appointed MD for Bone Daddies Group

The Bone Daddies Group has announced the appointment of Steve Hill as its new managing director.

Hill joined the group as operations director in October 2018, having previously held similar senior operations roles with the Jamie Oliver Group, Novus and Fridays.

The news follows the recent retirement of Demetri Tomazos, co-founder of both Bone Daddies and Flesh & Buns brands alongside Ross Shonhan (who left the company in March 2020).

The first Bone Daddies restaurant opened on Soho’s Peter Street in late 2012, with the group's second restaurant concept Flesh & Buns launching in Covent Garden in the summer of 2013. The company now employs over 400 staff and operate seven Bone Daddies’ ramen bar sites in Soho, Old Street, Bond Street, Victoria, Richmond, Bermondsey and Kensington, two Flesh & Buns’ izakaya sites in Covent Garden and Oxford Circus, and a standalone Shackfuyu restaurant in Soho.

Of his appointment, Hill comments: "I am encouraged by a successful 10th anniversary year for Bone Daddies in 2022 and relish the opportunity to lead our teams at both Bone Daddies and Flesh & Buns brands onto our next chapter. Our people have always been core to the business, and we remain committed to staff investment and training across the board, with some exciting expansion plans in the pipeline which we hope to announce over the coming months.

"I would like to wish Demetri all the best, it’s been a privilege to work alongside him over the last four years."
