The Real Greek launches second venue in Scotland

The Real Greek has opened a new site in Glasgow's popular shopping and leisure destination, Silverburn, standing as the brand’s second location in the country. 

The brand, which was formerly owned and operated by Fulham Shore before its recent acquisition by Great Sea Kitchens Ltd, embodies the culinary heritage of the Eastern Mediterranean. Using core ingredients directly sourced from Greece, the creative direction in the kitchen is led by Nikos Karathanos, the youngest Greek chef to be awarded a Michelin star at the age of just 27. 

The opening marks the group’s first new restaurant launch of 2023, following its success in 2022 with new locations in popular UK cities such as Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle, Solihull and Gloucester. 

The 160-cover site accommodates indoor seating and a click & collect service. Located in the southside of Glasgow, Silverburn features an exciting mix of retail, dining and leisure. The Real Greek will be the first Greek restaurant in the centre.

The restaurant is the brand's 27th UK site, its 15th outlet outside of the capital and the first new restaurant to open in 2023. Following strong demand for authentic Greek cuisine, The Real Greek plans to continue its expansion around the UK and London, with future openings around the country already in the pipeline.
