Cicchetti Knightsbridge wins Restaurant & Bar Design Awards

Cicchetti Knightsbridge, owned by the family-run San Carlo Group and designed by Fettle Design, has been named overall winner and Best Europe Restaurant/Bar at the 2023 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. 

Now in its 15th year, this year's ceremony was held at London's Florattica on Thursday 19 October, celebrating the world's most creative spaces and the people behind them. 

Described by organisers as "the most important and influential design competition for food and beverage spaces worldwide", and judged by a panel of 40 of the most influential personalities in design, hospitality and lifestyle globally, this year's event attached 1,130 entries from 61 countries. 

The winning projects came from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Australia, the Pacific and Asia. However, Cicchetti Knightsbridge is the only UK venue to be recognised, standing among both the Global and Regional category champions and bagging the ''Overall' win. 

Cicchetti Knightsbridge is located opposite Harrods on Hans Road, bringing a touch of Venetian bácaro culture to the area. Its interiors, spread across two floors, are inspired by classical Venetian architecture, blending the contemporary with the classic with features such as polished marble, burnished brass and bespoke art deco mirrored ceilings. 

Polished wood and brass fittings nod to the luxury yachts synonymous with the Floating City, while a large, striking mural by LA-based artist Jessalyn Brooks, takes centre stage in the main dining area.
