Gusto launches subscription-based membership

A national Italian restaurant chain has relaunched its loyalty programme, adding a new subscription-based membership option to the rewards scheme.

Gusto Italian's Gold Rewards initiative has been rebranded as 'Gold Club', with the new addition of the Platinum Club. It encompasses all the benefits of Gold Club membership but with extra rewards, including 40% off the a la carte menu Sunday–Thursday for the cardholder and up to three guests in any out-of-city restaurants (Alderley Edge, Cheadle Hulme, Cookridge, Didsbury, Heswall and Knutsford).

Upon sign-up, Platinum Club members will receive a bottle of Prosecco, on top of receiving invites to events and previews throughout their membership period. Guests can sign up for £65 a year or £6 a month.

'Innovation is in our DNA'

Group CEO Matt Snell comments: "We are really excited about this in our suburban restaurants and the initial reaction from our guests has been unbelievable. Innovation is in our DNA and this is another industry first from the Gusto Italian team."

Kat Schofield, head of marketing, adds: "We are thrilled to be paving a new pathway for loyalty within casual dining. Our primary goal is to make every occasion special and this membership scheme offers an opportunity for our guests to indulge more frequently, for less."
