YiQi and The Eight founders to launch third concept

SanHao, a restaurant focused on hand-pulled noodles and soups, will debut in London's Chinatown later this year.

Located on 3 Gerrard Street, SanHai is the latest concept from the founders of Hong Kong-style café, The Eight, and Pan-Asian concept YiQi. The menu will focus on traditional hand-pulled noodle dishes, from banmian to soups from across China and southeast Asia, as well as cooked-to-order pan-fried buns. Highlights will include Alaska crab noodles, black truffle wild mushroom noodle soup and cappuccino free-range chicken noodle soup.

3 Gerrard Street

Occupying a 3,000sq ft space on the corner of Gerrard Street and Gerrard Place, SanHao's interior will be inspired by the elegant, contemporary style of Juangnan in Eastern China.

The restaurant's founder Keng Yew Leong says of the upcoming launch: "SanHao's debut in Chinatown London marks another successful collaboration with Shaftesbury Capital and we are delighted to bring an authentic experience to what is the leading ESEA cultural hub in the UK. The success of The Eight and YiQi fills us with great confidence in how our SanHao concept will be received by visitors and we look forward to opening our doors to the Chinatown London community later this year."
