Six by Nico coming to Oxford

A restaurant group created by chef Nico Simeone will open a new venue in Westgate Oxford on 22 May, bringing its estate to 15 sites nationwide.

Six by Nico is known for its evolving, accessible and affordable six-course tasting menu, which changes every six weeks. Simeone aims to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, where diners can enjoy an immersive experience that takes guests on a culinary journey. The six-course menu is priced at £50 per person, with a wine pairing available for an additional £30.

The venue has a capacity for 64 covers in the main dining area, with a private space seating an additional 12 guests. There will also be an outdoor terrace, with the space boasting almost 4,300sq ft overall.

The interior concept is deeply rooted in the essence of the number six. Drawing inspiration from the six-legged dragonfly, the interior embodies the creature's elegance, colour and natural habitat.

The concept has seen significant growth over the last few years of UK-wide expansion. Since opening in Finnieston in 2017, Six by Nico now has 15 sites in 10 UK cities, including two in London, two in Manchester and three in Glasgow, as well as restaurants in Aberdeen, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.

"We are thrilled to bring the taste of Six by Nico to Oxford," says the chef. "Westgate, Oxford, located in the heart of the city, is a great site for us as it has become a popular food and lifestyle destination. We pride ourselves on originality – Six by Nico is founded on a meticulously curated and ever-changing tasting menu that combines various ingredients, tastes and dishes, drawing inspiration from both the UK and beyond. Our team look forward to opening our doors this May, and to be bringing a truly unique and unforgettable culinary experience to the people of Oxfordshire."
