Freak Scene brings in new head of ops

As it celebrates its first year anniversary of trading in Parsons Green, Fulham, cult restaurant Freak Scene has recruited a new head of operations.

The Freak Scene Restaurant Group has brought Alexis Ross into its leadership team.

From being a long-serving general manager to Russell Norman at Polpo, where he also assisted with the launch of Farringdon site Brutto, Ross then went onto managing operations at The Zetter Townhouse and Zobler’s at The Ned.

Freak Scene foundations

Founded by Scott Hallsworth, former Nobu London head chef and founder of izakaya concept Kurobuta, Freak Scene prides itself on its Pan-Asian punk rock ambience.

The celebration of a year at Parsons Green coincides with it being 10 years since Hallsworth reshaped dining on the King’s Road with Kurobuta.

Originally a pop up, Kurobuta became a permanent fixture in Chelsea. Freak Scene Parsons Green is an evolution of Kurobuta.

This first anniversary of Freak Scene in Parsons Green sees the continued progression of the menu, featuring signature dishes like Tuna Sashimi Pizza, Crab Wonton Bombs and Jerusalem Artichoke Chopsticks, alongside new gluten-free and vegan options.
