Piccolino coming to Henley

Henley-on-Thames will welcome a new Italian restaurant this month, with Piccolino launching its 21st UK restaurant in the town's Market Square on Monday 24 June.

Part of Individual Restaurants, the 5,000 sq ft site will serve the brand's latest summer menu, bringing trending dishes from Italian cities and coastal regions to Henley.

The new Henley Piccolino will offer culinary immersion in the form of the Carbonara Grande, an authentic Roman carbonara from a pecorino cheese wheel, as well as the freshest salt-baked seabass, and the finest cuts of meat, such as the 21-day aged Wagyu steaks.

Guests will also be able to enjoy classic Italian antipasti, such as Bruschetta Classica and Carpaccio Di Fassona, which features Italian beef sourced from the northwest region, thinly sliced and served with a rocket and Parmigiano Reggiano salad.

Italian elegance

With over £2m invested in the restaurant, guests can expect Italian elegance as they enter through the stunning, specially-commissioned river walk entrance. The restaurant boasts 140 covers in the main dining area and a 38-seat patio and is located in the heart of the town centre, with additional seating on the Market Square.

Situated in an impressive Grade II-listed building, the restaurant boasts a grand bar area, a winterised courtyard inspired by the Tuscan patios of central Italy, as well as a private dining room.

Andrew Garton, CEO of Individual Restaurants, says of the upcoming opening: "We are delighted to announce the launch of the brand-new Piccolino restaurant in Henley-on-Thames. The new opening marks an incredibly poignant moment for Piccolino as we grow in the Home Counties. At Piccolino, we are dedicated to serving the very best in Italian cuisine, ensuring Italy’s rich culinary heritage is at the centre of everything we do, and this is exactly what we are bringing to the community in Henley.

"We’ve explored every corner of Italy to bring our new menu to Henley and alongside our incredible team at Piccolino, we cannot wait to welcome guests to the restaurant to experience it with us."
