Bill's Restaurants eyes up expansion

Richard Caring-backed restaurant group Bill's is preparing to grow its UK estate.

Following the successful trial of two new café/bar concepts earlier this year in Newbury and St Albans, the company, which has over 40 sites across the country, will open two new locations before Christmas, one in Milton Keynes and another in Street, Somerset.

The group is in the process of developing its pipeline of properties for 2025 and beyond, choosing new locations for its new café/bar format, as well as its successful existing restaurant format, having appointed Savills to advise throughout the process.

The company delivered record sales in 2023, with EBITDA up 45% on 2022 and has shown no sign of slowing in the first six months of 2024. Like-for-like sales have increased 3.4% in the first half of the year, while EBITDA climbed a further 51% versus the same period in 2023.

Tom James, MD at Bill's, comments: "We have identified several key locations across the United Kingdon where we believe Bill's would be a great fit. We are excited to be working with Savills to raise our ambitions to bring this well-loved and colourful Bill's experience to more guests in 2025 and beyond."
