Rosa's Thai to launch in Reading

Reading's Jackson's Corner will soon be home to a branch of Rosa's Thai, set to open in February.

The launch marks the group's first official outpost in the region and will be the brand's 43rd UK site. In the heart of the city centre, Jackson's Corner has been a landmark since first housing a family-owned department store in 1875.

Rosa's in Reading

The 72-cover, 3,728 sq ft restaurant will feature the same authentic Thai recipes, created by co-founder Saiphin Moore, for which the concept is known.

Menu highlights include the four 'Hot Right Now' dishes, including Rosa's famous Guaytiew Kee Mao Drunken Noodles, packed with Thai basil, krachai and fresh chillies; Gaeng Kiew Wan Green Curry, a thick, creamy, spicy and aromatic dish made with the brand's signature curry paste; Som Tum green Papaya Salad; and Pad Kra Prow Chilli and Basil Stir Fry.

"When I first saw the Jackson's Corner site, I was immediately taken with the history of the building," says Moore. "It reminded me of when we opened our first restaurant and kept the sign to honour the previous owners. To have the opportunity to open a Rosa's Thai in such a historic Reading landmark is truly an honour. We are excited to bring our authentic Thai flavours and warm hospitality to this vibrant community and become part of its ongoing story.
