Brother Marcus to open Canary Wharf restaurant

Brother Marcus, the Middle Eastern restaurant group founded by Tas Gaitanos and Alex Large, will open a new site in Canary Wharf this summer.

The restaurant will serve the brand's signature brunch, mezze, cocktails and eastern Mediterranean wine offering, as well as 'souvla and skewers' – brand new to the Canary Wharf venue.

Located in the YY London building at the foot of One Canada Square, the restaurant will be the brand's biggest yet with 174 covers. The interior will comprise 90 covers and the exterior 84, including an outdoor bar area with seated and standing room, complete with a retractable roof.

Breakfast will be served from 8am until 12pm on weekdays, with mezze sharing dishes served for lunch and dinner. Brunch will be served until 4pm at weekends.

"We are excited to be bringing a slice of the eastern Med to Canary Wharf. Think cocktails, skewers and mezze with long weekend brunches on our sun-soaked terrace," says Gaitanos.

"As we grow as a brand, we are always looking at ways to improve the guest experience and our connection to the eastern Med with our menu and drinks list – particularly on the wine side with this new site," he adds.

"Brother Marcus Canary Wharf is an opportunity to showcase our new ideas and bring the area something fresh and unique, right in time for summer."
