Motombs opens its doors on Pollen Street

Motcombs has launched a new site in Mayfair. The venue is the latest addition to a group that originated in Belgravia 43 years ago and opened in St John’s Wood at the end of 2024.
Located on Pollen Street, Motcombs Mayfair celebrates the brand's refined British heritage. The new restaurant is open Monday to Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Located just a short walk from Oxford Circus and Regent Street, Motcombs Mayfair features a 65-cover dining area, a large bar and a covered terrace for 18 guests, set to open this summer.
A wooden-topped bar is a focal point upon entry, boasting a vintage aesthetic with a mirrored backbar, reclaimed wooden chairs and a copper-topped frontage, as well as black leather banquette seating for 40 guests.
Dining at Motcombs Mayfair
The menu is overseen by head chef Rafal Nowack, who also looks after the kitchen of Motcombs St John’s Wood, formerly of Pollen Street Social and Gordon Ramsay. In the main restaurant, there will be an open kitchen serving fresh fish and lobster from the raw bar, while the main menu will showcase modern European and British comfort cuisine with elevated touches.
Highlights include the caviar rosti, hand-cut steak tartare, chicken pot pie and duck ragù pappardelle, as well as prime cuts of beef, dry-aged in-house and cooked over woodfire.
The menu also features Motcombs Belgravia's classics of shepherd’s pie, golden-battered fish and chips and the famous vodka penne. There is also a first-come, first-served burger and hot dog counter for those seeking express dining.
The restaurant will be run by GM Darren Selby (formerly of Goodmans and Langans Brasserie), whilst the bar will be led by James Smith, (formerly The Ivy West Street) and will offer a menu of house and classic cocktails, refreshing draught beers, ales and Guinness, as well as a wine and Champagne list curated by the in-house sommelier.
Motcombs will also play host to a curated calendar of glamorous events, including weekly live jazz every Thursday from 8pm to 10pm in the bar.
Ross Anderson, owner of Motcombs Mayfair, comments: “We're really excited to be opening this new style Motcombs in Mayfair. We wanted to create a space for everyone that celebrates the traditions of Motcombs Belgravia whilst offering a more modern finesse."
