Las Iguanas to open Peterborough site

Latin American brand Las Iguanas will open its new Peterborough restaurant later this month.

After a transformation of the Church Street site, the restaurant, which is set to feature its signature tropical green plant walls, twinkling lights and murals by artist @elnoart (part of the London-based WOM Collective), will open on 14 November.

Guests will be able to sample Las Iguanas favourites, including its bottomless brunch, with two hours of unlimited cocktails, beer and Prosecco. There'll also be two for one cocktails during Happy Hour, which runs all day Sunday to Thursday and before 7pm and after 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

The menu will include taco sharing boards and fundido fondue - a pot of chilli cheese sauce with crispy cassava chunks for dipping. Stacked-up fajitas will sizzle in its top secret spice mix, and the classic North Brazilian curry, Xinxim - chicken and crayfish in a creamy lime and peanut sauce - will come to the table in a traditional Brazilian terracotta pan.

Andrew Taylor, general manager at the new Las Iguanas, says: “It’s great to be introducing our iconic flavours of Latin America to the city. We have a fantastic team in place and are delighted that we have been able to create over 30 new jobs. We can’t wait to open and look forward to everyone stopping by regularly to try some of our delicious dishes, sip cocktails in the bar, bring friends for bottomless brunch, or use Las Iguanas to celebrate life’s good bits. We’ve just opened bookings for Christmas and have lots of ways for you to party, from a set Christmas menu to late bottomless brunch, so do get in touch if you are looking for the hottest Christmas ticket in Peterborough."
