Three-course pop-up Caribbean feast coming to Liverpool

The Little Peacock is hosting a new pop-up bistro that will exclusively serve Caribbean and African cuisine.

After making a name for himself as a top 10 catering service for bespoke African cuisine, head chef Andew Dekanwarri will launch the three-course Caribbean menu, plus entertainment, at 6pm on 25 February, in the heart of Mossley Hill, Liverpool.

"Four years ago, I was able to achieve my goal and open Uncle B’s cafe, serving traditional African meals to a growing clientele," says head chef and founder of Uncle B’s Catering, Andrew Dekanwarri. "I have provided event catering for the last 20 years and my dream has always been to open a small bistro with specific clientele."

Priced at £30 per head, the menu is ideal for Carribean foodies looking to get their fill. A starter of either West African pepper soup or Nigerian bean cake leads into Uncle B’s signature dish, jerk chicken served with rice and peas, or the option to try Caribbean eskovitch fish with peppers and onions. There is also a third main option inclusive of vegetarian diets – a Nigerian bean porridge served with jollof rice, with the menu finishing with a traditional sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Uncle B’s services Liverpool with a taste of African-Nigerian cuisine through event catering, the Good Food Project, and there is soon to be a takeout option added to his roster of dining choices.
