Turtle Bay preps for launch of 48th site

Caribbean restaurant chain Turtle Bay will open its 48th site on 31 March.

Located in the town of Hammersmith, the 500-capacity venue will be the restaurant and bar group's largest London launch yet.

Guests of Turtle Bay can expect a selection of Caribbean-inspired soul food, with a brand-new menu also launching this month, including bottomless brunch favourites to the brand's signature jerk pit dishes, and spice-infused West Indian plates such as Brown Stew Chicken and Curry Goat.

Turtle Bay’s executive chef Collin Brown, Jamaica’s most awarded cook, has curated a new and improved menu of classic dishes and unique flavours, using some of the island's most prominent ingredients such as callaloo, ackee and jackfruit. The menu also has a selection of plant-based dishes, such as the Island Brunch Bowl with scrambled ackee, sauteed callaloo, curried chickpeas, sweet fried plantain, tomatoes and a fire-grilled roti. The team will be introducing other new dishes such as the Jamaican Run Down, chef Collin’s slow-simmered butternut squash, sweet potato and coconut stew, served with rice and peas.

The venue will have an outdoor terrace and bar area, where guests can sample the brand's signature rum-based cocktails, with a 2-4-1 offer available every day of the week.

Turtle Bay CEO, Nick Crossley, comments: "We cannot wait to immerse ourselves in the culture and community of Hammersmith, bringing our Caribbean-mix of rum, reggae and jerk to town. We’re proud to have created over 77 jobs along the way with this being one of our largest restaurants to date, and with summer around the corner we very much look forward to hosting guests in our summer terrace - and bring our ‘good times’ to West London!"
