Hux launches on Kensington High Street

A new, eccentric restaurant featuring a window display of zebras, flamingos and penguins, has launched on Kensington High Street.

Hux, the new 60-cover eatery and clandestine music venue, fuses gastronomy, atmosphere, cocktails and luxe, launching as London's latest spot for modern British cuisine, private dining and late-night live music.

Adjacent to Kensington Gardens and offering an immersive experience of flavours and design, Hux's menu was crafted by head chef Stephen Collins. Highlights include poached salt beef, carrot, parsley and foie gras terrine; Coq au Reisling with mushrooms and shallots with truffle creamed potatoes; and bitter-sweet chocolate mousse with clotted cream, peanut butter cookie and espresso syrup.

The venue's interior blends vibrant aesthetics with intrigue and the unexpected. Royal blue walls are adorned with jade accents, while taxidermized parrots watch from the corners, a lion takes centre stage and a giraffe oversees the room. The upper dining enclave features a venue for private parties, while a hidden staircase leads to the underground music lounge.
