Llama Inn opens rooftop terrace
A Peruvian restaurant in Shoreditch, London, is preparing for the warmer months with the launch of a new spring menu and the full opening of its rooftop terrace.
Llama Inn, which opened in September 2023, is located on the 7th floor of The Hoxton. It is the sister venue of Huan Correa and chef Erik Ramirez's acclaimed New York City restaurant.
Heading into its first summer season, Llama Inn's outdoor terrace offers space for up to 50 guests, seated on comfy sofas and banquettes. The venue offers views of the city skyline, while its south-facing position is ideal for sun-seekers.
The spring menu
With its bent towards fresh, zesty flavours, Llama Inn's new seasonal menu has been designed for spring and summer. Highlights include lamb empanada with olives and aji chimichurri; slow-cooked chicken skewer with shiso vinaigrette and aji verde; braised leeks with olive, aji gazpacho and yuzu; cod with yuca cream, snap peas and aji mirasol; and grilled chicken with baby gem salad and aji crema.
These dishes join signature hits such as the scallop, yuzu kosho and nori ceviche; the summer fruits ceviche; pork chop with cucumber, mint and spring onion salad and aji verde sauce; and whole seabass banked in banana lead with aji amarillo, red onion salsa and choclo rice.
Llama Inn NYC is known for having one of the city's best cocktail offerings, created by bar director Natasha Bermudez. For summer, the classic Pisco Sour will be served in sharing jugs for four people, alongside an expanded menu of sours such as the Guava Sour and Eucalyptus Sour. There will also be a menu of iced cocktail slushies, including the Chiri Colada – rum, palo cortado sherry, chirimoya, pineapple, coconut and coffee bean.
