Pizza Pilgrims signs for King's Road site

Neapolitan pizza brand Pizza Pilgrims has signed for its largest site to date at 219 King's Road, part of the Sloane Stanley Estate.

Pizza Pilgrims will open the 2,200 sq ft space in mid-November, promising a Capri-inspired experience. The restaurant will offer 80 covers inside and out, as well as an intimate basement dining room that can transform into 'Cinema Paradiso', delivering an experiential element for the community of Chelsea and beyond.

Designed to take consumers on an hour-long trip to Capri, the Chelsea site will mimic the 1950s Italian la dolce vita. The one-of-a-kind design adds to the estate's critical mass of independent restaurants, such as the recently opened Alley Cats, Dez Amore and Josephine, with Fantomas also launching in the coming weeks.

Thom Elliot, Pizza Pilgrims co-founder, comments: "We are really excited to be opening on such an iconic street in London. We fell in love with the site when we first set eyes on it – and as always are excited to bring something a bit different to the Pizza Pilgrims experience with unique, Capri-inspired design and fun cinema space downstairs. Our dad ran a pub off the King's Road many moons ago, so it has always been a special place to us. See you soon, Chelsea!"
