Black Bear Burger to launch flagship site at Westfield

London-based burger brand Black Bear Burger will open its largest site to date at Westfield, White City, on 21 April.
The 100-cover flagship restaurant marks the independent operator's eighth opening and follows its recent win at the National Burger Awards 2025, where it was named National Burger of the Year.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Liz and Stew Down, Black Bear Burger has grown from a single street food stall to a multi-site operation in under a decade, maintaining full independence throughout its expansion. The Westfield opening signals a step change in scale for the brand, and an opportunity to reach a broader customer base in one of London’s busiest retail and leisure destinations.
Black Bear’s current portfolio includes a mix of full-service restaurants and food hall concepts, located across London in sites such as Boxpark Shoreditch, Brixton Village and Exmouth Market. Known for its focus on grass-fed, dry-aged British beef, the brand has built a loyal following and continues to grow both organically and strategically within the capital.
Big burger business
Guests will be able to enjoy Black Bear’s signature dishes including the Double Miso Bacon Burger, Brisket Spring Rolls and the Welsh Rarebit Crumpet, alongside new additions such as the off-menu Stuffed Chicken Wing with blue cheese sauce and fermented chilli hot sauce.
The fan favourite chicken nuggets will also return, alongside a rotating line-up of burger specials. Diners can also expect Guinness on draught, barrel-aged Negronis and the Godfather Sour on the cocktail list.
Opening at Westfield is a real pinch yourself moment,” says Stew Down, co-founder of Black Bear Burger. “We have spent the last eight years building this brand from the ground up and we are still fully independent. This new restaurant is a huge step forward and we cannot wait to extend our offering to people in the White City area.”
